A busy month, and a full life!

Here's what I'm working on right now.

  • September 27-28 -- teaching Time Management and Encouraging Enterprise at the NewsTrain journalism workshop in Kansas City

  • October 24 -- co-producing a new RTNDA one-day news and technology event, coinciding with NAB's new East Coast convention in New York City. See you at the Javits Center.

  • October 28 -- co-producing the 4th annual Southwest Broadcast Regional Workshop. In Austin this year. We drew more than 200 participants to our workshop at SMU last fall.

And my newest project here in Flower Mound -- the Flower Mound News Project. With the help of some neighbors, we're launching a true community news website, non-profit, focused on Flower Mound. The prototype is available for view at FloMoJo.com. FloMoJo is short for Flower Mound Journalism, I guess.

Toss in a full schedule of fall little-league baseball games, a couple of scouting campouts, a return (after 20 years) to the SMU football pressbox to help with stats, and that makes for a rich and full life. I'm very thankful.
